About

A small firm, on purpose.

We are consultants to small and midsize organizations. The people who diagnose your organization are the people who sit in the room with you — there is no bench of associates behind us.

Erica McCue

Founding Principal

Erica leads the formation work — coaching, facilitation, and the design of the gatherings where a new structure is first practiced rather than announced.

Her question in every engagement is the same one the site asks: what is this arrangement teaching the people inside it? Roles, meetings, and reporting lines are curriculum whether or not anyone wrote them down.

Zach McCue

Founding Principal

Zach leads the diagnostic and redesign work — mapping where authority sits today, where accountability goes quiet, and what has to change for the strategy on the page to be carried out.

He is unsentimental about org charts. The deliverable is not a new diagram; it is a sequence of changes an organization can absorb, and the operating rhythms that hold them in place afterward.

Alex Billups

Technical Lead

Alex handles the technical side of an engagement: the tooling, data, and workflow changes that carry a redesign into the software an organization already lives in.

Structure that only exists in a document decays. His work is making ownership, hand-offs, and decision points legible in the systems people touch every day.

How we work together

Every engagement runs through all three of us. Zach maps the structure, Erica works the formation and the rooms where change is practiced, Alex carries it into the systems your people actually use. One diagnosis, one sequence, one set of rhythms — not three workstreams that never meet.

We take a small number of clients at a time so the work stays ours.
